Tour Details

Important Information

Here are the directions for your Free Tour of Boston. Your guide will meet you on the Boston Common, outside the Park Street Station (on the corner of Park St. and Tremont St.), in front of the four panel sign with maps of old Boston on it. Here is a link with a map of where to meet outside Park St. Station (the first option on map link): https://goo.gl/maps/7eNFsrEx4tNr1fWD6 If you cannot find your guide , ( he/she will arrive at 12:50 PM and wearing an orange shirt), please call 617-202-3521 and we will locate you. The tour will run rain or shine and will end outside of Faneuil Hall at approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes after the start time.

This is a HISTORICAL TOUR of Colonial and Revolutionary Boston and covers the events and people in Boston who helped shape the American Revolution and form our country.

Please note: The tour starts promptly at the scheduled start time. If you call/text the phone after the start time, we may be unable to answer or text as the guide managing the phone for the day will be conducting the tour. If you are late and cannot reach us, when you exit the Park St. Station look left and on top of Beacon Hill you will see the gold dome of the Massachusetts State House. Walk to the dome and you should find the tour there.

Attention: There is a second exit at the Park Street Station. If you happen to exit that way, you will see the Visitor’s Center. Turn and face Tremont St. Look left (the opposite way traffic is flowing) and find the church steeple. Walk towards the church steeple. Your guide is about 500 yards/meters away from the Visitor’s Center.

Restrooms: The Visitor’s Center at 139 Tremont St. on the Boston Common has restrooms and is a three minute walk from the meeting place. Check out the map on the kiosk to find the Visitor’s Center if you need to use the facilities.

Parking: If you drive (give yourself extra time) there are two parking lots that you can park in: we think the best parking garage to use is the One Center Plaza one on Tremont St. It is close to the meeting site on the Boston Common and has a clearance of 6’6″. If you put the address 32 Tremont St. Boston in your navigator the Parking lot is directly across the street. When you exit the garage walk up Tremont the same way traffic is flowing (it is a one way) about a block-and-a-half you will be at the on the Boston Common at Park St. and Tremont St. You will see the four panel sign with maps of old Boston on it and that is where Bob will be standing. Here is the website for the garage: https://www.parkingpanda.com › Boston Parking

Another good parking garage is the Boston Common Parking Garage located beneath the Boston Common at Zero Charles St. 02116 When you exit the garage, it is about a five minute walk across the Boston Common to the meeting place on the Park St. side of the Boston Common.

We are looking forward to showing all of the sites!!!
